Experienced Tallahassee Church Rector Eric Dudley

Eric Dudley began his career as a church leader in 1989 as the associate rector of Christ Episcopal in Greenville, South Carolina. He relocated to Tallahassee, Florida, in 1995 to assume the position of rector at St. John’s Episcopal. Eric Dudley subsequently served as the dean of St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral.

Eric Dudley joined Christ Church in 2020. As the rector of the parish, he is tasked with a wide range of administrative and pastoral duties, from strategic planning and budget management to preaching and leading weekly worship services. He is also responsible for the church’s community outreach efforts. In addition to his position as rector, he sits on the Christ Church finance committee, among other responsibilities.

Eric Dudley holds graduate degrees in theology and homiletics/hermeneutics from Vanderbilt University and Yale, respectively. He completed an undergraduate program in religion at Wofford College. His interests outside of church leadership include impressionistic painting, reading history and 19th and early 20th century literature, and playing tennis, among others. He also enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.
